Amparo is a photographers’ management platform which represents and promotes members’ work internationally.
Founded in 2013, the project is led by Amparo Escobedo, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the photographic sector.
The word “Amparo” in Spanish refers to the idea of providing shelter. The project showcases the work of people who tell stories through photographs,
books, exhibitions and multimedia, using images as a vehicle of expression and creation.
Its aims are twofold. Firstly, it seeks to assist and manage each individual photographer’s career by helping them to get the most out of their talent.
And secondly, it aims to bring the enormous richness of Spanish photography to international attention.
To achieve these goals, the photographers managed by Amparo are given advice and their work is represented and offered, according to their
professional interests, to galleries, museums, photo festivals, photo editors, curators and experts in photography.
Amparo represents Ricardo Cases, Oscar Monzón, Aleix Plademunt and Antonio Xoubanova.
